Warp August 19, 2026 Changelog

If you use Warp to code or manage software, this update makes the app much more reliable and gives you better tools to oversee your projects. The big news is the early release of Warp Factories, which helps teams build software together. For everyday users, it also means your computer won't slow down from memory bugs, and the web interface looks a lot cleaner.

What's new

• Warp Factories (Early Access): A brand-new feature is now available to test. Think of it as a central hub that helps you manage and build software projects. It is in "Early Access," meaning it's still being tested, but you can try it out now.
• Inline /usage command: You can now type /usage directly into the Warp Agent CLI (the tool you use to control AI helpers) to instantly see your current plan, how many AI credits you have left, and links to manage your billing.

Improvements

• Better cloud agent stability: We fixed an annoying issue where AI cloud helpers would occasionally lose connection with MCP servers (external tool servers the AI uses) if the cloud environment restarted while working on a task.

Fixes

• Memory leak fixed: Previously, if you pasted a massive block of text into the terminal, the autocomplete engine would get confused and start hoarding your computer's memory, slowing everything down over time. That won't happen anymore.
• Keyboard shortcut visuals fixed: On the web version, the ⇧ (Shift) symbol in the keyboard hints was showing up way larger, bolder, and out of line with the other keys. It now looks perfectly aligned.
• Stray border removed: We got rid of a tiny, stray 1-pixel border around the workspace on the web version that used to get awkwardly cut off by the rounded edges of your browser window.
