This release is a "quality-of-life" update focused on making Warp more reliable, predictable, and user-friendly. It is especially important for developers who use Warp's built-in AI tools, manage multiple terminal windows at once, or connect to remote computers.
Improvements
- Markdown Syntax Highlighting: When you open Markdown files in the editor, the text is now color-coded (syntax highlighted) so headers, links, and code blocks stand out.
- Cross-Window Tab Dragging: You can once again drag a tab out of one Warp window and drop it into another on macOS and Windows.
- Quick File Paths: You can now right-click in the file viewer pane to quickly copy a file's exact path (its folder address) to your clipboard.
- Scrollable AI Lists: If you have a long list of custom AI models, you can now easily scroll through them.
- Memory Diagnostics: Added a command to save a "heap profile" (a snapshot of how the app is using computer memory) to help troubleshoot lag or slowdowns.
Fixes
- Windows Performance Boost: Fixed a "priority inversion" bug on Windows (where low-priority background tasks accidentally blocked high-priority ones), which was causing new terminal sessions to freeze or lag.
- AI Agent Fixes: Fixed crashes when switching AI models, corrected the AI credit breakdown to show which models you actually used, and stopped "rewound" AI conversations from accidentally running old tasks again.
- SSH and Remote Connections: Fixed connection failures when using custom SSH configurations, and added a "Don't show again" option to the banner that warns you when command completions aren't working over SSH.
- Text and Keyboard Shortcuts: Fixed a bug where pressing
Cmd + Left/Right(or Home/End) jumped to the wrong place on wrapped lines of text. Also fixed an issue where the first characters of multi-line commands would sometimes double. - Visual and Theme Fixes: Fixed hard-to-read, faint text in the settings menu when using light themes, and fixed broken symbols (glyphs) when using custom fonts on Mac.
- Crash Prevention: Fixed several rare crashes, including one when dragging tabs while entering full-screen mode on Mac, and another when resizing the terminal window.
