This update is all about giving you more control over how Warp's AI does your heavy lifting, while making the app feel more like a modern web browser. It matters most to developers and power users who use AI agents to write code, manage remote servers, or juggle multiple projects, because it adds smarter ways to route AI tasks and fixes a bunch of frustrating glitches.

What's new

• Smarter AI routing: The Warp Agent (your built-in AI helper) now supports "custom model routers." This means you can set rules so that easy questions go to a fast, basic AI, while really hard coding tasks get sent to a smarter, heavier AI. You can base this on the difficulty of the task or simple rules you write out in plain English.
• Mac stealth mode: If you're on a Mac, you can now hide Warp from your Dock (the app bar at the bottom of the screen) and just use a global keyboard shortcut to pull up a quick window whenever you need it.

Improvements

• Drag tabs between windows: Just like a web browser, you can now click and drag a tab from one Warp window and drop it into another.
• Keep working if the cloud disconnects: If you are running an AI task in the cloud and your internet drops, you can now hit a "Continue locally" button to have your computer take over and finish the job.
• Better Git status: There's a new visual chip that shows your current Git branch name and exactly how many commits you are ahead or behind the main project.
• Queue your AI prompts: If an AI is busy running a really long command, you can now type your next prompt and Warp will automatically wait in a queue until the AI is done, so you don't accidentally interrupt it (this is turned on by default).
• Less memory hogging: Warp now puts a limit on how much memory it uses to read super massive files, preventing the app from freezing or crashing.
• Faster startup on Windows: Tweaked how PowerShell loads so the app opens faster.
• Clearer AI labels: When picking which AI agent to use, Warp now clearly shows which company provides it (like Claude or Codex) right next to its name.
• Quieter notifications: Warp will stop flashing annoying "lost connection" banners while it automatically tries to reconnect to the internet.
• More settings: You can now easily toggle "show hidden files" in the settings UI, and you can finally dismiss that pesky cloud credits banner in AI chats.

Fixes

• The blank clipboard bug: Copying text from an AI's response used to copy absolutely nothing. Now it actually copies the text you highlighted.
• The stubborn AI bug: Pressing Ctrl+C to stop an AI from typing wasn't working. Now it actually cancels the stream.
• The frozen app bugs: Fixed a couple of issues that caused the app to completely panic and crash, like when trying to restore an old conversation or processing weird background signals from other apps.
• The broken update bug: Fixed an issue where Warp's auto-updater tried to install a corrupted, empty file, which would break the update process.
• The Grok bug: Fixed a glitch where free users who only had a Grok (xAI) subscription couldn't use the AI at all.
• The messy markdown bug: Opening a Markdown file used to annoyingly open a brand new pane every single time, instead of just showing you the one you already had open.
• The "Clear" button bug: Pressing Cmd+K to clear your chat history wasn't actually stopping background AI tasks. Now it cancels everything so you get a true fresh start.
