This update is all about making life easier for developers who use v0 alongside GitHub. It takes the messy, multi-step process of updating code, checking it, and publishing it to the live internet, and combines it into one smooth workflow right inside your chat.
What's new
- One-step publishing: When you connect v0 to a GitHub project, you now just hit "Publish." v0 will automatically create a "branch" (a separate workspace for new code), update it, and merge it into your main project for the world to see.
- A central menu for your code: Inside the chat, you can open a menu to see a live preview of your project, review exactly what code changed (the "diff"), and open a "pull request" (a proposal to merge your new code into the main project).
- Built-in problem solving: If your preview build fails, or if automated tests (called "CI") spot an error, you can just ask v0 to fix the issues right from that same menu.
Improvements
- Smoother teamwork: v0 now respects your repository's existing rules. If your team requires certain checks or approvals before code goes live, v0 won't bypass them. Instead, it will give you a direct link to the pull request so you can handle whatever needs your attention.
