This update is all about making the AI assistant better for teams and developers. It gives you way more control over what the AI is allowed to do, makes team collaboration smoother, and speeds up the time it takes to see your code in action. If you use v0 to build apps with a group, these updates will save you from a lot of annoying interruptions and glitches.

What's new

• Batch approvals: When the AI needs permission to run tools (like running code or connecting to outside services), all those requests are now grouped into one panel. You can handle them all at once, so the chat won't jump ahead and finish before you've said "yes."
• Smarter AI tools: The AI's internal system can now read chat history and answer its own plan-approval questions. It also gives you web links that remember exactly what project you're working on.
• Drag-and-drop attachments: If you paste files or images into the chat box, you can now drag the little "pills" (the tags showing your attachments) around to reorder them.
• Team rules for deploying: The app now respects your team's strict rules. It will hide GitHub repositories you aren't allowed to use and block you from publishing final versions if your team forbids it.
• GitHub Actions support: You can now push your code to GitHub even if the repository contains GitHub Actions workflow files (which are used to automate things like testing). Previously, v0 would block this.
• Shared Design Systems: Teams can set a default design system (a shared set of styles and rules for building apps). When you save a new design, you can easily choose to keep it to yourself or share it with the whole team.
• Easier team management: Teammates with basic editing access can now manage the AI's "memories" (saved background knowledge) and "skills" without needing advanced admin permissions. This feature is also now available on any paid plan, not just the giant corporate ones.
• Smoother previews: When waiting to see your app, it will show the last version immediately while the new one loads in the background, complete with a subtle progress line instead of annoying loading pop-ups.
• Better menus and shortcuts: The project menu now has the same options as the chat menu. Plus, you can press Cmd+. (Mac) or Ctrl+. (Windows) to quickly open Settings.
• Helpful buttons: If the "Publish" button is grayed out, hovering over it will now tell you exactly why (like "waiting for the AI to finish").
• Updated tech under the hood: v0 now builds chat interfaces using newer, better-supported software tools (shadcn/ui chat primitives and the latest AI SDK) instead of old, outdated ones.
• Advanced API updates: Developers using the Platform API can now attach specific memories and skills when starting a chat. The API will also send back details if the AI needs to ask the user a clarifying question or request permission.

Improvements

• Longer sandbox time: Preview sandboxes (the safe, temporary computers where your app runs to test it) can now run for up to 24 hours.
• Faster loading: Starting up a preview and publishing to Vercel are both faster, shaving off several seconds of waiting. Going to the new-chat home screen is now instant.
• More previews for guests: If you aren't logged in, you can run up to 240 previews per hour (up from before). If you hit that limit, the app will simply ask you to create an account or sign in.
• Better documentation: There's a new help page for connecting Shopify, and the mobile menu and broken links in the docs have been fixed.

Fixes

• GitHub connection bugs: Fixed an issue where connecting your GitHub account or logging in with a work account (SSO) would cause a "bad request" error or open the wrong login screen.
• Silent code failures: Fixed a bug where automatic code updates to team projects would fail silently. Now, your edits will reliably reach the correct GitHub branch.
• Infinite AI loops: Fixed a glitch where connecting a new tool would cause the AI to get stuck in an endless loop that the "Stop" button couldn't even fix.
• App crashes: Opening the command menu and jumping straight into a chat no longer crashes the app.
• Stuck previews: If your app preview gets stuck on a dead or expired sandbox, it will now fix itself automatically instead of staying broken.
• Security upgrades: Hardened the system against a specific hacking attempt called DNS-rebinding SSRF (where a bad actor tries to trick the server into giving them access to internal data).
