This update is all about helping you build apps faster and with less hassle. It matters a lot to developers who use v0 to code, especially those working in teams, because the AI can now handle tricky tasks like fixing code conflicts and writing database queries, all while looking cleaner and running smoother.

What's new

  • Quick Command Menu: Press Cmd+K anywhere to open a menu that instantly jumps you to chats, projects, or actions.
  • Automatic Conflict Fixes: When GitHub pull requests (requests to merge new code) have conflicting code, v0 can now fix it for you automatically.
  • AI Database Queries: In the DB Studio, you can just describe the data you want in plain English, and v0 will write the SQL code to get it.
  • Cheaper, Faster AI Models: The top-tier AI models got an upgrade and a price drop. The model picker is now simplified into four levels: Mini, Pro, Max, and Max Fast.
  • Better Design Tools: Design Mode now has a floating toolbar, a layers viewer, and a measuring tool to check spacing. You can also quickly delete items.
  • Shopify Integration: You can connect your Shopify store to a chat, and v0 will help build an online storefront for it.
  • Better Starter Code: New apps that need a database and user log-ins now start with modern, secure default tools (Neon, Drizzle, and Better Auth).
  • Improved Design Systems: The library of pre-made design parts got a fresh layout, and the AI creates better-looking apps when using it.
  • Longer AI Work Time: When the AI is working on a big task, it will automatically keep going instead of stopping when it hits a time limit.
  • SVG Creation: v0 can now generate SVGs, which are images made of code that stay perfectly sharp when you zoom in.
  • Snowflake Connection (Public Preview): You can connect your Snowflake data account so v0 can build dashboards and apps using your data, which you can share with your team.
  • Project Renaming: You can now rename your projects right from the menu or sidebar.
  • Compressed File Uploads: You can now attach .tgz files, which are compressed folders.
  • Custom Instructions for Teams: People on Team plans can now set custom rules for the AI to follow.
  • Verified GitHub Commits: When v0 pushes code to GitHub, it now "signs" it. This proves the code is safe and works with strict security settings.
  • Redesigned Navigation: The sidebar, settings, and menus were rebuilt to match the main Vercel dashboard.

Improvements

  • Moving between chats, settings, and your library is now instant.
  • The documentation was updated to better explain the AI features and Snowflake connection.

Fixes

  • Pull Request Titles: Fixed an issue where new pull requests were incorrectly titled "Initialize project from GitHub repository."
  • Figma Connection Loop: Fixed a bug where free users connecting to Figma from a paid team got stuck in an endless login loop.
  • Chat Queue: Fixed a glitch where queued messages got stuck after a chat finished. The chat now stays in the right place when you scroll to the bottom.
  • Snapshots: Saved snapshots now show up immediately without needing to refresh the page.
  • Member Search: Searching for team members now correctly matches their display names.
  • Guest Names: Fixed a bug where guest user names were getting cut off.
  • Documentation Links: Fixed broken header links in the help docs that were showing 404 errors.
  • Preview Errors: Fixed a glitch where the app preview would show a "GENERATING is not defined" error, and stopped build errors from mixing with runtime errors.
  • Mobile Billing: Fixed billing errors that were happening on mobile devices.
  • Visual Glitches: Cleaned up annoying screen flashes that happened while loading the sidebar, model selector, and version toggle.
