This update is all about speed and making the app easier to use. It matters to anyone who uses v0 to build apps, especially if you're testing on an iPhone or working with large ZIP files and Snowflake databases. You'll notice less waiting around and fewer weird visual glitches.
What's new
- Faster AI model: There's a new AI brain available under "More models" called Claude Opus 4.7 Fast. It generates answers 2.5 times faster than before.
- Agent screenshots: When the AI tests a preview of your app, it takes pictures (screenshots) of what it's doing. You can now see those pictures to understand exactly how the AI is checking your work.
- Easier ZIP uploads: You can now drag and drop a ZIP file straight into the chat box. The AI will read it like a normal file, instead of popping open a separate upload window.
- Snowflake account picker: Snowflake is a data storage tool. If your team uses multiple Snowflake accounts, you can now choose which one a chat connects to right from the chat itself.
- iOS app suggestion: If you're looking at an embedded app preview (an "iframe") on an iPhone, it will now suggest you download the actual v0 app for a better experience.
- Simpler chat animations: Removed some expanding-and-collapsing animations in the chat to make things feel less busy.
Improvements
- Better error messages: Redesigned the error screens and build logs for Snowflake connections so they are much easier to read and understand.
- Faster project picker: The dropdown menu to pick a project now loads right away when you open it, instead of waiting for you to type something first.
Fixes
- Stable chat box: The typing area no longer jumps around the screen when you first open a chat.
- Safari preview fix: If you refreshed an app preview in the Safari browser, it used to show a confusing "unauthorized" page. Now it correctly shows a button to open the preview in a new tab.
- Branding fix: The "built with v0" badge now correctly follows your branding rules on live apps, and it won't show up at all in your private previews.
- iOS login fix: Opening an app preview from the iOS app will no longer randomly log you out.
- Sidebar highlight: The sidebar now correctly highlights the chat you're currently looking at, even if you navigate around or close and reopen the sidebar.
- Better mobile settings: Settings pages on phones no longer squish buttons together or cut off tables.
- Cleaner terminal: When the AI runs code commands in the background, the text box no longer flashes blank lines while it's working.
- Fixed activity reports: The Usage & Activity page and its data connection no longer crash with a "500 error" (a server glitch).
