Replit April 17, 2026 Changelog

This update is all about making Replit's AI assistant smarter and easier to use, while helping you keep your project dashboard tidy. It matters to everyone from solo coders who want better AI suggestions to large companies trying to manage their software teams.

What's new

• Smarter AI in Power Mode: Replit’s AI assistant (called Agent) now uses a newer, smarter AI brain called Claude Opus 4.7 when you turn on "Power mode."
• A simpler menu for AI modes: Choosing how you want the AI to help you is now a cleaner side-by-side menu. You can quickly pick Lite, Economy, or Power. You can also press Ctrl+Shift+I (or Cmd+Shift+I on a Mac) to flip through them without using your mouse.
• AI suggests next steps: When the AI finishes a task, it will now suggest what you should build next. It might recommend new features, ways to make your code run faster, or tweaks to make your app look better. You can click "Accept" on the ones you like, and the AI will start doing them in the background.
• AI on Google Cloud Marketplace: Big companies that use Google Cloud to manage their software can now buy and run Replit's AI directly through Google.
• Custom team groups for businesses: Companies that use an automated system to manage employee logins (a setup called SCIM) can now create custom groups right inside Replit. This makes it easier for admins to give specific people access to specific projects without messing with their main company login system.

Improvements

• Better project cards: On your main Projects page, every project card now shows little icons of the files inside it. If you hover your mouse over an icon, you get a quick sneak peek of the project without having to open it.
• Smarter sorting: Your projects page now automatically puts the projects you opened most recently at the very top.
• Personal pinning: You can now "pin" your favorite projects to the top of your list. This is totally private to you, so it won't mess up how your teammates see the workspace.
• Filter by file type: You can now use a dropdown menu to filter your projects by what's inside them. For example, you can choose "Slides" to only see projects that include a slide deck.
• Cleaner AI settings: To keep your screen from feeling cluttered, advanced AI settings (like code review tools and the super-fast but expensive "Turbo" mode) are now hidden behind an "Advanced settings" button.

Fixes

• Retired "Max" mode: The old "Max" mode for the AI has been removed because it was confusing. If you want the smartest AI, you now use "Power." If you want the fastest, you turn on "Turbo" in the advanced settings.
