This update is all about making OpenHands more flexible for people running it on remote servers or behind web proxies (servers that pass requests along). If you use OpenHands on a machine that isn't sitting right in front of you, this release makes the setup smoother and fixes a few visual glitches in the interface.
What's new
- Remote browser access: OpenHands now supports CORS (a security rule that lets web browsers talk to servers on different network addresses). This means if you run OpenHands on a remote server, you can configure it to let your web browser access it properly.
- Host networking mode: You can now turn on a setting that lets a "reverse proxy" (a server that sits in front of your apps and passes traffic to them) reach the apps you launch on any network port, not just a few pre-set ones.
Fixes
- Missing agent thoughts fixed: The AI agent's "thoughts" were invisible in the user interface, but now they display properly so you can see what it's thinking.
- Cursor jumping fixed: When you were typing to search for a branch or repository name, your cursor used to annoyingly jump to the end of the text box. That glitch is gone.
- Cost display fixed: The feature that shows how much a conversation costs was broken, but it's now working again.
