This release is all about making your AI chats and tools more reliable. It mostly matters to developers using OpenCode with powerful cloud AI models (like Claude 5 or Amazon Bedrock), ensuring these tools run smoothly without crashing over simple errors.

What's new

There are no brand-new features in this release, but the way you log into Azure has changed for the better (see below).

Improvements

• Easier Azure sign-in: When logging into Microsoft Azure (a cloud service), the app now simply asks you for the resource name directly. It no longer tries to scan your entire Azure account to find it, which makes connecting faster and less intrusive.

Fixes

• Claude 5 "thinking" crashes fixed: Sometimes, when an AI is "thinking" and you change the prompt or use a tool, it gets confused by old thought processes and crashes. It now ignores these stale thoughts and keeps working.
• Better Amazon Bedrock support: Fixed an issue with Amazon Bedrock (another cloud AI service) where it wouldn't let you turn off the AI's "reasoning effort" (how hard the AI thinks before answering). The replay feature (re-running past AI responses) is also much more reliable now.
• Accurate tool timers: If a tool updated its own information while still running, the app's timer would glitch and reset. This is fixed, so your tool tracking stays perfectly accurate.
• Cleaner file patches: When using the apply_patch tool (which edits code files), it used to accidentally leave behind an empty "move path" (a blank instruction to move a file). This clutter is now removed.
• Saving session names: In the desktop app, if you tried to rename your chat session from the title bar or the right-click menu, it sometimes wouldn't save. That's fixed, so your custom names will stick.
