This release is all about making your chat experience smoother and more forgiving. It matters most to people who use this tool for long, complex coding sessions, because it gives you better ways to fix mistakes, track your token costs, and avoid annoying glitches.

What's new

  • Retry button: If the AI gets cut off while answering, you can now use a /retry command to make it try again.
  • Better undo options: The /rewind command (which lets you step back in your conversation) now lets you choose between starting a new branch of the chat or just going back in the current one.
  • Visible retries: When the system automatically tries again behind the scenes, you'll now see it happening in the app and in the logs.
  • Standalone settings viewer: You can now look at the list of all configuration settings without having to be in an active chat session.

Improvements

  • Smarter cost tracking: The /status command now shows how much of the AI's memory (the "prompt cache") is being reused. It even subtracts those reused parts from your total session cost, so you can see the discount.
  • Easier copying: When you copy text, the app now gives you a native, built-in hint that it was successfully copied to your clipboard.

Fixes

  • Menu bug: If you canceled a settings change, it used to wipe out your whole selection menu. That won't happen anymore.
  • Slower Git bug: A background feature in Git (a tool developers use to track code changes) was slowing things down, so we turned it off for project contexts.
  • Reasoning text: Special "signed" blocks of text that show the AI's reasoning are now kept intact instead of being lost.
  • Color fix: A tab hint inside the settings popup was the wrong color and is now fixed.
  • App packing: We turned off a tool called UPX that was used to pack the app files, which should prevent some technical glitches.
  • Copy formatting: When you copy a list from the chat screen, it now keeps the proper list formatting instead of turning into a messy block of text.
  • Double popups: Fixed an issue where two identical approval popups would appear if the system got backed up.
  • Accurate token counts: Fixed several issues so the app now correctly updates how much memory (tokens) the chat is using when you resume, fork, or start a new session.
