This update is all about making the app play nicer with outside tools and fixing a frustrating login bug. It mostly matters to developers or power users who connect the app to other services using secure logins, but everyone gets a slightly smoother chat experience.

What's new

  • New command for outside tools: There's a new /mcp add command. "MCP" is a way for the app to talk to outside tools, and "OAuth" is just a secure way to log in (like when you use "Sign in with Google" instead of a password). This command makes it easy to connect those secure outside tools to your app.
  • Chill chat animations: The little chat character (Petit) now has new "idle pauses." This means when you aren't typing, the character will take natural breaks in its animation instead of moving constantly.

Improvements

  • Smarter exit commands: Before, if you typed words like "exit," "quit," ":q", or ":quit" to close the app, it thought you were just trying to chat with the AI. Now, the app recognizes these as actual system commands and will close the app like it's supposed to.

Fixes

  • Fixed a login crash: We squashed a bug where the app would completely crash if you tried to log in securely to an outside tool. It used to break if your computer's secure password manager (the "keyring backend") wasn't working or couldn't load. Now, it handles the situation smoothly without crashing.
