Lovable August 17, 2026 Changelog

This release is all about giving you more control over your app and your credits. It matters to anyone building with Lovable, especially if you want to keep an eye on costs, manage security pages, or just have a smoother experience chatting with the AI.

What's new

• Credit check-ins (beta): If you ask Lovable to do a massive task, it might use a lot of "credits" (the tokens you spend to use the AI). Now, you can set a limit (like 20 credits). If a single message hits that limit, Lovable pauses and asks if you want to keep going or wrap up the task. You can turn this off anytime in your settings.
• Gemini 3.7 Flash integration: When you add AI features to the app you're building, you can now choose Google's Gemini 3.7 Flash model. It's a fast AI that can understand text, images, audio, and video.
• Copy project links on mobile and desktop: Because the mobile and desktop apps don't have a web address bar, it was hard to share your project's link. Now, you can just click or tap the project name and hit "Copy project link" to grab the URL.

Improvements

• Better image viewer: When you click an image in the chat, it now zooms in instead of immediately opening a drawing tool. You can pan around, zoom up to 200%, and click "Draw" if you want to sketch notes on it. If Lovable shows you a screenshot of its work, you can easily attach that image right back into your next message to ask for changes.
• Faster file upload warnings: If you try to attach a file that is too big for your account plan, Lovable tells you right away instead of waiting to reject it. Enterprise plan users can now upload massive files up to 1 GB.
• Clearer security tab: The "Workspace insights" tab was renamed to "Security insights" because that name better explains what it does—showing security and activity data across your projects.

Fixes

• No specific bugs were squashed in this release, but the new copy-link feature fixes a missing feature on mobile and desktop apps, and the new upload validation fixes an issue where file size limits weren't being enforced consistently across all account plans.

Breaking changes

Your app's Trust Center page (a public page showing security info) is now disabled by default. If you had one live before this update, it is currently offline. To turn it back on, an admin or project owner needs to go to Project settings → Publishing and enable the Trust center.
