Lovable July 24, 2026 Changelog

What changed in Lovable app builder July 24, 2026, released 2026-07-24 — explained in plain English.

TLDR
  • Open projects in background tabs on the desktop app, just like in a web browser.
  • Reporting bad behavior or appealing a banned account is now done through organized forms instead of email.
  • Project editors can now see the names of private passwords (but not the passwords themselves) to do their jobs.

Lovable's latest desktop update is all about making your workflow smoother and keeping your projects secure. This release matters to anyone building apps, especially people juggling multiple projects at once or working on a team where different people have different levels of access.

What's new

  • Background tabs for desktop: If you use the Lovable Desktop app, you can now open a project in a new background tab by holding Cmd or Ctrl (or using your mouse's middle click). This means you can open another project without losing your place in your current one. If you want the new tab to pop up right in front of you, use Cmd or Ctrl+Shift+click.
  • Guided reporting forms: If you need to report someone breaking the rules, appeal a banned account, or file a copyright complaint (like a DMCA takedown), you no longer have to send an email. There are now step-by-step forms on the website to handle these issues. Most forms are open to everyone, but a few require you to be logged in.

Improvements

  • Better teamwork with build secrets: "Build secrets" are hidden, sensitive passwords or keys your app needs to run. Before, only workspace owners could see them. Now, regular editors can see the *names* of these secrets (but not the actual secret passwords). This helps editors pick the right password when they need to connect a private design system, while keeping the actual sensitive info safe and locked to admins.
