Lovable's July 22, 2026 update is all about saving you time and making your workflow smoother. This release matters most to builders who use AI features in their apps or manage online stores, giving them faster tools and fewer annoying clicks.

What's new

• Smarter default AI: If your app uses Lovable's built-in AI tools but doesn't ask for a specific AI "brain" (model), it will now automatically use Gemini 3.6 Flash. This is a newer, better version of the previous AI. If your app already asks for a specific AI, nothing changes for you.
• Bulk-editing Shopify: When you need to add, update, or delete a lot of products or variations in your Shopify store, you no longer have to approve every single item one by one. You can now approve the whole batch at once. If a few items fail to update, Lovable will tell you which ones and only try those again. Just remember that deleting items is permanent, so double-check your list before hitting approve!
• Codex plugin: The Lovable MCP server (a tool that lets different apps talk to each other) is now a "plugin" for Codex. If you use Codex, you can now create, edit, and launch your Lovable apps directly from there without having to switch back and forth between programs.

Improvements

• Managing your online store is much faster now that you can approve large batches of Shopify edits all at once instead of clicking "approve" over and over again.
