This release is all about giving you faster, cheaper tools to build your apps, while making life much easier for company admins who manage teams. Whether you're adding AI image generation, connecting to GitHub, or just trying to find a project quickly, this update makes the whole process smoother.
What's new
- New AI image model: You can now use Google's "Nano Banana 2 Lite" model to generate or edit images inside your app. It's a faster and cheaper option if you're building things like thumbnail makers or drafting tools.
- Control workspace access by groups: If you're a Business or Enterprise admin, you can link your company's login groups (from your Identity Provider, which is the system that manages your logins) to specific roles in Lovable. You can also turn on "Group restriction" to block anyone who isn't in an approved group from signing in.
- Easier company logins: Instead of needing a specific workspace URL to log in, you can now just type your company domain (like
acme.com) or provider ID, and Lovable will find your login system. - GitHub API connector: You can now add a connector so the apps you build can read GitHub data. This lets your apps track issues, show pull request statuses, or build dashboards for your code. (Note: this is different from just syncing your Lovable code to GitHub; this is for apps you build that *use* GitHub data).
- More browser features in the desktop app: When testing your apps on the desktop app, you can now use Ctrl+F (or Cmd+F on Mac) to search for text on the page. Your apps can also now ask to read your clipboard or use your location, just like a regular website would.
- Search from the dashboard: You can now search for a project directly from the tabs bar on your dashboard. Just click "Search" and start typing to filter by project name or owner across all your lists at once.
Improvements
- Reordering shared folders: You can now drag and drop personal folders that are shared with you to organize them in your sidebar, right next to your own folders.
Fixes
- Preventing empty folders: Previously, the last owner of a shared folder could accidentally leave it, which would leave the folder without anyone in charge. Now, the "Leave folder" button is disabled for the last owner so this can't happen.
