If you use Kiro to chat with different AI models, this update makes your life a lot easier. Instead of forcing you to re-pick your settings every time you open the app, it now remembers who you like to talk to and how hard the AI should work on your answers.
What's new
- Smart memory for your settings: When you use the
/modelcommand (to pick which AI brain you want to use) or the/effortcommand (to choose how much thinking power the AI puts into its answer), Kiro now saves those choices. - No more manual saving: In the past, you had to type a special command (
/model set-current-as-default) to make your choices stick around for next time. Now, it happens automatically in the background.
Improvements
- Your settings now carry over perfectly into future sessions. Once you find a setup you like, you can just open the app and get straight to work without messing with the configuration menu.
