This release is all about making the AI assistant easier to manage and keep track of. It matters most to developers who use the app to run multiple AI tasks at the same time, giving them better tools to see what the AI is doing, jump between tasks, and make sure their code changes aren't lost when moving things around.

What's new

• Timeline highlights: When you hover over a bar in the task timeline (the visual progress chart), the app will highlight the exact tool the AI used at that moment. This makes it much easier to see which bar belongs to which action.
• Smarter prompt writing: When you create a "worktree" (a separate branch of your project to safely test new code), you can now use the prompt enhancer to improve your instructions before the AI starts working.
• Cross-task chatting: You can now look at active tasks in the Agent Manager and send a message directly to an idle task to nudge it along. For safety, the app will ask for your explicit approval before messaging a different task.
• Better status reporting: The app can now report whether your command line tool and code editor are actively connected.

Improvements

• Clearer settings: The descriptions for advanced AI settings—like Temperature (how creative the AI is), Top P (how focused its word choices are), and Max Steps (how many actions it can take)—are now much easier to understand.
• Smoother file searching: When you use "@" to mention a file, the "Browse files..." option is moved to the bottom of the list. Now, the file that actually matches what you're typing is automatically selected, saving you a click.
• Cleaner task management: Background "subagents" (smaller AI helpers) are now kept out of your main Agent Manager tabs to reduce clutter.
• Better keyboard navigation: If you use the up and down arrow keys to look at your previous chat prompts, the app now remembers the very first prompt you typed instead of accidentally erasing it.
• Smoother sidebar use: When you close an inactive task tab, your keyboard focus stays exactly where it should be on your current sidebar tab.
• Safer testing environments: When an AI working in a "sandbox" (a safe, restricted testing zone) starts a new task, it now inherits those same safety restrictions.
• Better visibility in light mode: Question options are now much easier to see if you are using a light-colored theme in your code editor.

Fixes

• Fixed lost code commits: Previously, if you moved a task into a worktree, your local saved changes (commits) could disappear. This is now fixed, and your work is preserved.
• Fixed incorrect token counts: The app's summary of "tokens" (the chunks of text the AI reads) was incorrectly showing cached, previously read text. This is fixed so your input counts are accurate.
• Fixed file permission bugs: If you used "@" to mention a file that the AI didn't have permission to read, it would bypass the rules and read it anyway. Permissions are now strictly enforced.
• Stopped runaway tasks: If you closed a task tab or the Agent Manager while an AI was still working, the AI and its helper tasks would sometimes keep running in the background. They now shut down properly when closed.
