This release is all about giving you better control over your chats and making the AI's actions more transparent. It matters most to developers who use the AI assistant heavily in their code editor and want to manage long conversations or understand exactly why the AI is doing certain tasks without asking.
What's new
- Delete queued messages: If you line up several chat messages to run, you can now delete them from the queue before the AI gets to them.
- Reference past chats: You can now type
@in your prompt to bring up a searchable list of your past chats. Selecting one attaches that previous conversation so the AI can pick up right where you left off. - Searchable open-tabs switcher: Added a search tool to the sidebar tab bar to help you quickly find and switch between the files you have open.
- Tool approval explanations: When the AI uses a tool (like running a command), you can now see exactly why it was allowed. It will tell you if it ran automatically because of a specific setting, or if it needed your manual approval.
- Remote queue visibility: If you are using the app remotely, your screen can now show when messages are waiting in line to run.
- Filtered session history: Your chat history search now only shows chats related to the specific project folder you are currently working in.
Improvements
- Faster plan execution: When you are using the AI to plan a task, it now opens immediately and submits your choices without making you click a second time to confirm.
- Better error tracking: If the AI's response cuts out unexpectedly, the app now saves and shows special ID numbers (for the request and the server). This makes it much easier to figure out what went wrong behind the scenes.
Fixes
- Search list "Enter" bug: Fixed an annoying bug where pressing "Enter" in a searchable list would accidentally trigger the first result on the list if you hadn't actually highlighted anything yet.
- Missing finish reason bug: Fixed an issue where the app wouldn't show a request ID if the AI stopped generating text without giving a clear reason.
