This update is all about making Grok smoother, cleaner, and more reliable for your daily coding projects. Whether you are managing code changes, searching through your past prompts, or running Grok on different terminal setups (the text-based windows where you run commands), these changes clean up the interface and fix annoying bugs so you can focus on your work.

What's new

• Easy History Search: Pressing the Up arrow on an empty prompt now lets you browse your past prompts, and typing /history lets you search through them.
• Quick Resume: You can now jump right back into a recent Claude Code session from the welcome screen by pressing Ctrl+U.
• PR Merge Queue Status: The tool that checks your Pull Request (PR) status (x.ai/pr/status) will now tell you if your code changes are waiting in the queue to be merged.
• Custom Tool Limits: You can now set limits on how much text external tools (using the Model Context Protocol, or MCP) can output, customized for each project folder.
• Team-Wide Auto-Send: Teams can now enable a setting that automatically sends queued follow-up tasks while the AI is waiting.

Improvements

• Smarter Screen Layouts: The app now automatically switches to "compact mode" if your terminal window is very small, and groups smaller AI helper tasks (subagents) together to keep your screen clean.
• Better Notifications: System notifications are now organized with clear titles and bodies so they are much easier to read.
• Shorter Commands: You can now type grok worktree ls instead of the longer grok worktree list to see your active code folders.
• Better Shortcut Keys: If your terminal doesn't support the Ctrl+. shortcut, the dashboard will now suggest using ? instead.

Fixes

• No More Stuck Logins: Fixed a bug where logging back in after your security token expired would sometimes freeze the app for ages.
• Broken Image Handling: Tiny or corrupted images are now ignored instead of breaking your chat session, and previously broken sessions will automatically fix themselves when restarted.
• Cleaner Chat History: System messages will no longer accidentally look like messages *you* typed when you load an old chat, and automatic summaries (/recap) won't pop up in the wrong order.
• Terminal Glitches: Fixed visual bugs in specific terminal apps like Ghostty, WezTerm, and JetBrains on Windows, ensuring progress bars and mouse inputs behave correctly.
• Vim Navigation: Pressing the l key in Vim mode now correctly opens the detailed view for an agent in your dashboard.
