This update is all about making your daily experience smoother and smarter. It matters most to people who use the app for long, complicated chats, because it upgrades the default AI to Grok 4.5, improves how the app manages long conversations, and fixes a bunch of annoying visual glitches and background bugs.

What's new

• New default AI model: The app now uses Grok 4.5. It lets you pick how hard the AI thinks (high, medium, or low effort) and does a better job "compacting" (summarizing older messages to save memory without losing track of the conversation).
• New /summarize command: You can now type /summarize to ask the AI for a quick recap of your current chat. It does the exact same thing as the older /recap command.
• New screen setting: There's a new appearance option called "Snap prompt to top on send." Normally, when you send a message, the screen jumps to the top. If you turn this off, your screen stays exactly where you were looking.
• Better /btw command: The /btw command (which lets you ask a quick side question) now works in "minimal" mode. When you hit Escape, it saves the answer to your chat history.

• Shell tools fixed: When the AI runs commands on your computer, it now sees the exact same settings, shortcuts, and variables as your normal terminal. Previously, it was missing some of these.
• Fixed text colors: When looking at code changes or files, multi-line text (like long comments or sentences) is now colored correctly instead of looking like a glitchy mess.
• Fixed global rules: If you have custom rule files saved on your computer to guide the AI's behavior, the app now finds and uses them correctly.
• Stopped annoying background tasks: If a background task finishes right after you press Ctrl+C to stop something, it will no longer automatically restart the AI without your permission.
• Fixed dashboard exit: Pressing Ctrl+\ to leave the dashboard menu now correctly takes you back to the specific AI agent you were working with.
• Fixed login issues: Logging into certain secure external servers (using a process called MCP OAuth) now works, even for strict servers that require specific security checks.
• Fixed agent list: The dashboard menu now correctly shows all connected remote agents, even if you don't have any running locally on your own computer.
• Fixed long-chat memory: The app no longer crashes when trying to summarize very long chats on strict servers that didn't like how it was handling attached tools.
