This update is all about making Goose feel like a smoother, more capable assistant. Whether you are using the visual desktop app or the text-based terminal version, these changes make it much easier to manage your projects, talk to different AI models, and keep your workspace organized.

What's new

• Voice Typing: You can now speak directly to Goose instead of typing out your prompts.
• File Attachments: Easily upload and share files directly inside your chats.
• Desktop Notifications: Goose will now send a pop-up alert on your computer when it finishes running a background task.
• Exa AI Search: A new search tool powered by Exa (a search engine built specifically for AIs) helps Goose find highly relevant information on the web.

Fixes

• No More Lag When Switching Models: Fixed a bug that caused an annoying 5-second freeze when opening the model selection menu.
• Memory Leak Fixed: Stopped a background loop that was refreshing the text interface too often, which previously could cause the app to run out of memory and crash.
• Working Chat Links: Fixed an issue where you couldn't click on web links inside the chat window.
• First-Launch Delay Fixed: Security certificates are now saved directly to your computer so the app doesn't lag when you open it for the very first time.
• Sidebar Syncing: Deleting a chat session now correctly removes it from the sidebar immediately.
