What's new
- Turn off default skills: There is a new setting (
--disable-builtin-skills) that lets you switch off the pre-packaged skills Factory gives you, while keeping any custom skills you built yourself. - Windows ARM64 support: The desktop app now has a version built specifically for Windows computers running ARM64 processors (a newer, power-efficient type of chip), so it runs natively instead of needing a workaround.
- Usage cap alerts: If you are an admin, the app will now automatically email you when your team is getting close to your maximum usage limits, so you aren't caught off guard.
Fixes
- Session recovery: Previously, if you canceled a tool while it was running, it could corrupt your chat history and make it unreadable. Now, canceling tools is safe, and the app can automatically fix older history that was already broken.
- Auto model retries: Sometimes the AI "model" (the brain of the AI) would be temporarily unavailable, causing an action to fail. Now, the app will automatically try again instead of just giving up.
- Disconnected prompts: If your internet drops, the app will no longer bother you with pop-up windows asking for permissions or inputs, since you can't actually do anything while disconnected anyway.
- macOS sleep: There was a bug where notification sounds kept your Mac awake. That is fixed, so your computer can go to sleep normally.
- PDF generation: When creating a PDF failed, the app used to just freeze up and hang forever. Now, it shows you an error message right away so you know what went wrong.
