This release is all about making Devin less easily distracted. If you use the Devin command-line tool while coding, you probably noticed the AI sometimes getting confused about what you actually wanted it to do. These updates make the AI better at minding its own business and focusing only on your actual requests.
Fixes
- Stopped unwanted edits: Before, if you were just clicking around or reading different files in your editor (IDE), Devin would sometimes think you wanted it to change the file you were looking at. Now, it gets better clues about what you're doing, so it knows that just looking at a file isn't a request to edit it.
- Stopped annoying commentary: Devin used to get a constant stream of updates about what files you had open, which caused it to awkwardly narrate things like, "I see you have file X open, so I will work on that." Now, it only checks your open files when you send a new message. This stops the AI from constantly talking about your open tabs and lets it get straight to the point.
