This update is all about making your daily experience smoother and less frustrating. It’s especially great for regular users who spend a lot of time in the app, giving you better ways to navigate, read what the computer is doing, and pick up right where you left off.
What's new
- Easy return tips: When you close the app, it now shows you a "session ID" (a unique ID code for your chat) and a hint on how to quickly reopen that exact conversation later.
- Smart settings memory: If you restart an old chat, the app now remembers the AI model and provider (like OpenAI or Anthropic) you were using at the time, so you don't have to set them up again.
- Color-coded commands: When the app runs shell commands (the text-based instructions that tell your computer what to do), the text is now colorized. This makes it much easier to read at a glance.
- Quick jump shortcut: Pressing
ctrl+endon your keyboard instantly scrolls you down to the very bottom of the chat. It also locks your view there so you automatically follow along as new messages come in.
Improvements
- Cleaner command display: The app now hides unnecessary folder paths when showing you the commands it runs. If a command is just moving into your project folder, it won't clutter the screen anymore.
- Better connection tracking: The app now records exactly how long it takes to connect to outside tools (known as MCP servers), which helps developers figure out if something is running too slowly.
- Smarter usage data: The app now keeps better track of how different features are used, helping the creators understand what needs improvement.
Fixes
- No more frozen screens: Previously, the app could freeze while waiting to connect to outside tools (MCP servers) when it started up. Now, it lets you type and interact right away without getting blocked.
- Smarter waiting for background tasks: When the app runs automatically in the background without a human typing, it will now wait patiently for slow outside tools to load. But when you are actively chatting with it, it skips the long wait so you aren't kept waiting.
- Fixed AI provider list: A bug was preventing the app from fetching the full list of available AI models. This is fixed, so you can now see all your options properly.
