What's new

Fixes

• Resuming old chats: If you try to resume an old conversation that used an older AI model that has since been retired, Codex will no longer crash. Instead, it will smoothly transition the chat to your currently selected model.
• Intel Mac crash fix: Fixed a bug that caused the app to crash on older Intel-based Mac computers when using Code Mode.
• Windows Sandbox fixes: Fixed issues in the Windows sandbox (a secure, isolated testing environment) where Codex couldn't delete files or access the main system tools.
• No more messy screens: Fixed a bug where pasting text with weird formatting codes into the terminal would mess up the visual layout (the Text User Interface, or TUI) or break your chat history.
• Automatic login refresh: If you leave Codex running for a long time, it will now automatically refresh your login in the background so your connection doesn't drop.
