This update is all about making the app a better hub for your daily digital life. It matters most to people who use the ChatGPT desktop app on a Mac or iPhone to organize projects, build websites, and communicate with others. It brings better teamwork for website building, safer ways to share your AI conversations, and tighter connections with your everyday apps like Messages.

What's new

• Apple Messages integration: If you use a Mac, you can now use the AI to read and search your text messages, draft replies, and send them. For safety, the AI will always ask you to approve the message and who it's going to before it actually sends anything.
• Website co-editing: If you build a website using the app, you can now invite teammates to help edit it. The owner still controls the big settings and who gets to see the site, but invited editors can update the site, save versions, and publish changes.
• Editable website links: You can now change the web address (URL) of a website you built in the app without having to rebuild the whole thing. If someone visits the old address, they will automatically be forwarded to the new one.
• Computer History in Europe: A feature called "Computer History" (which lets the AI remember what you've been doing on your computer to better assist you) is now available for certain paid users in Europe, the UK, and Switzerland. It is turned off by default, and you have to manually turn it on to use it.
• Shared chat snapshots: You can now share a "snapshot" (a frozen, read-only copy) of your AI conversation with someone else. Even if you keep chatting and changing the original conversation later, the shared copy stays exactly the same. The app tries to automatically hide passwords or sensitive codes before sharing, but you should still double-check what you are sending.
• Synced pinned chats: If you "pin" a chat to the top of your list to keep it handy, those pinned chats will now stay the same across both your Mac and your iPhone.

Improvements

• Pinned chats are now unified, meaning your organization system works exactly the same whether you are on your phone or computer, saving you from having to re-pin things on different devices.
