This update is all about making your life easier when you want to connect ChatGPT or Codex to other apps you use for school or work. It matters most to anyone who uses tools like Notion or HubSpot and hates having to create and remember a million different passwords.
What's new
- Sign in with ChatGPT (beta): Just like you can use your Google account to log into other websites, you can now use your ChatGPT account. When you connect a supported app (called a "plugin") inside ChatGPT, or visit a partner website directly, you can just click "Sign in with ChatGPT" to get started.
- Supported partners: For this first test run (which is what "beta" means), this only works with Airtable, GitLab, HubSpot, Notion, Supabase, and Vercel.
Improvements
- Fewer steps to get started: You no longer have to fill out long forms to create a new account for these partner services. You can link your existing account or make a new one in just a couple of clicks.
- Better privacy control: When you use this quick login, the other app only gets your name, email, and profile picture. You still have to manually review and approve what else the app is allowed to do before it can touch your data.
