If you are a developer who uses Cline to write or manage code, this release ensures your work survives interruptions, connects better to outside tools, and gives you back some handy buttons that make checking Cline’s work much easier.

What's new

• "View Changes" button is back: When Cline finishes a task, you get a button to review exactly what code was added or changed. It uses "checkpoints" (saved snapshots of your code at a specific moment) so you can safely see everything the task touched.
• Copy button returns: A simple button to copy Cline's final response in a chat thread is back.
• Pre-registered logins for remote servers: Cline can now connect to certain outside tool servers (called MCP servers) that require a pre-set login, rather than asking you to sign up on the spot.

Improvements

• Smarter "View Changes" button: The button stays faded until Cline actually confirms it made changes, and it completely hides itself if there is nothing new to show.
• Better plugin management: Settings for add-ons (plugins) are now grouped together. Toggling them on or off is now "atomic"—meaning it happens instantly and completely, without leaving the add-on in a half-on, half-off state.
• More detailed scheduled reports: When Cline runs a task on a timer, the report now includes easy-to-read headers, timing, and details about exactly what happened or what errors occurred.

• Saved messages during interruptions: If you type a message but Cline gets interrupted before reading it, your message is no longer deleted. It safely waits and runs after the interruption settles.
• Sessions survive restarts: If Cline gets stopped or the system restarts, your session remembers exactly where it left off instead of crashing.
• No more silent failures: If a queued task fails, Cline now actually tells you it failed instead of acting like everything finished perfectly.
• Frozen servers won't freeze Cline: If an outside tool server hangs or gets stuck, it will no longer stop you from starting a new session. Unconfigured servers now get a 30-second time limit instead of freezing forever.
• Better network retries: If your internet blips right before Cline starts generating an answer, it will retry instead of just failing and making you start over.
• Smarter file searches: If you try to tag a file using the "@" symbol in an empty window, Cline will smartly look in your current project folder or Desktop instead of coming up empty.
• Fixed LiteLLM connections: Cline now correctly talks to LiteLLM (a tool that manages AI models) by using the right communication method, fixing requests that were previously breaking.
