This release is a small but important update, mostly for users in schools or companies where IT administrators manage their software. It fixes a couple of issues to make sure security rules are properly followed and that custom AI models work the way they should.
Fixes
- Better security controls for add-ons: Cline lets you connect to outside tools using something called MCP (Model Context Protocol). Previously, if an admin used a remote setting to turn off the marketplace for these tools, the tools still showed up anyway. Now, they are properly hidden when turned off, and only the specific tools the admin approves will show up.
- Restored tool use for custom AI models: If you plugged a custom AI model into Cline using an OpenAI-compatible setup, a glitch might have stopped the AI from using tools to do its job. This happened because the system forgot what the model was capable of. That’s fixed now, so your custom model can get back to work.
