- The connection to Anthropic (the company behind the Claude AI) was completely broken for people using the latest VS Code app. This was because VS Code updated its background engine (the Node 24 runtime, which is the software that runs the code), and that update clashed with the built-in tools Cline uses to talk to Anthropic. That connection is now fixed.
- DeepSeek V4 (a specific AI model) uses a new way of showing its "reasoning"—the step-by-step thoughts it has before giving you an answer. Cline wasn't reading that new format correctly, but now it can understand it properly.
