This update is all about keeping your AI assistant up-to-date with the newest "brains" (models) to use, while fixing a frustrating glitch that could mess up your connected tools. It mostly matters to anyone who uses Fireworks AI models or connects external tools to Cline.

What's new

  • New Fireworks AI models: You now have access to the newest AI models hosted by Fireworks AI. The default option is now set to Kimi K2.6, which means Cline will automatically use this model unless you pick a different one.

Improvements

  • Always-fresh model recommendations: Cline now always checks its official, up-to-date list of recommended AI models. Before, this feature was hidden behind a "feature flag" (a hidden switch developers use to test things), but now it's turned on for everyone.
  • Cleaned up model info: Outdated Fireworks AI models were removed. The details (metadata) and pricing info for the remaining models were also corrected so you know exactly what you're using and what it costs.

Fixes

  • MCP server list bug: "MCP servers" are external tools you can connect to Cline to give it extra abilities. Previously, when you added or deleted one of these tools, the app would save your settings in a way that triggered a "file watcher" (a background program that looks for changes). This watcher would get confused and accidentally erase your entire list of connected tools! That flow is now fixed.
