What's new
- New AI providers and models: The menu where you pick your AI has been refreshed. It adds seven new providers (Agnes AI, Aixy, IteraCompute, LLM Tech, NeoSmith, Pendra, and Standard Compute). If you use certain existing providers without picking a specific model, your default AI has been switched to a newer one.
Improvements
- Better password security: If you have passwords baked into your website links (like a Git remote URL), they are now hidden before being sent to the AI. This keeps your secrets safe.
- Correct line endings: When the app creates new files, it now uses the correct line-ending style for your computer system (Windows vs. Mac/Linux), so files open correctly everywhere.
Fixes
- Fixed a giant memory leak: A background process (the "hub") was making full copies of your chat history and sending it to every connected window. On long tasks, this could make the app eat up tens of gigabytes of memory and slow down your computer. That's fixed now. *(Note: You'll need to restart the app for this fix to kick in).*
- Fixed search crashes: The code search tool used to crash if it tried to read a file that had one incredibly long line of text. It now handles these without breaking.
- Removed fake cost estimates: If you use Claude Code, the app was showing you how much money you were spending. But since most people use it with a flat-rate subscription, those numbers were wrong and are now removed.
- Fixed MCP installation: When installing an MCP server (a way to give the AI extra tools), the app used to get confused by dashes (
--) in the setup commands. It now reads them correctly.
Breaking changes
- If you use ClinePass, Z.ai, Hugging Face, evroc, LLM Gateway, NanoGPT, or Weights & Biases and haven't manually chosen a specific AI model, your default model has been changed to a new one. You might want to check your settings to make sure you're still using the AI you prefer.
