What's new

• Image generation: If you are using an AI model that creates pictures, it can now make images while you chat. The tool saves the image to a temporary folder and prints the file location so you can open it. If you export your chat as a webpage (HTML), the images will show up right there in the document.
• Bigger model catalog: The list of AI models you can choose from got a big refresh. It adds several new AI providers (like AMD, Arcee, and others) and updates the pricing and default models across the board.
• Cost tracking: The usage screen now shows the actual billed cost from the gateway (the server routing your AI requests).

Improvements

• Smarter skill commands: "Skills" are custom shortcuts you can type, like /do-something. Previously, typing this shortcut would paste a giant wall of text into your message and send it to the AI twice. Now, the shortcut runs quietly in the background, sends the instructions to the AI only once, and shows your original short command in the chat history instead of the giant wall of text.
• Better model choices: The menus for picking an AI model now hide options that only do images, voice, or other non-chat tasks. This prevents you from accidentally picking a model that can't actually text with you.

Fixes

• Theme colors: Fixed a bug where the colors in the app's pop-up windows wouldn't update right away when you changed your theme.
• UI glitch: Fixed the little drop-down arrow in the account menu so it matches the style of the other menus.
• Hidden tool activity: Fixed a bug where background tools run by the Claude Code provider were being deleted instead of showing up as cards in your chat.
• Broken hooks: "Hooks" are custom scripts that run before or after a tool is used. Fixed a bug where changes made by a "before" hook were ignored, and "after" hooks were running without actually sending their results back to the AI.
• Command crashes: Fixed a bug where running certain structured commands would crash with an "ENOENT" (file not found) error if the command didn't include separate arguments.
• PowerShell errors: Fixed an issue where PowerShell commands would report success even if they failed, or spam you with an error for every single item they checked. They now stop and fail immediately when something goes wrong.
• Gemini URLs: Fixed a bug with setting up custom web addresses for Gemini models.
• Scheduled tasks: Fixed cline schedule commands when used with a remote hub so they properly authorize your workspace under the new security rules.
