This update is all about making the AI's behavior more predictable. If you are a developer who uses Cline with different AI engines, this release ensures the tool's "brain" operates consistently no matter which one you pick.
What's new
- You can now select a new AI model called
meta/muse-spark-1.2-contributordirectly within Cline. The overall menu of available AI models has also been refreshed to make it easier to browse.
Improvements
- Consistent "Reasoning" controls: "Reasoning" is when the AI takes a moment to think through a problem step-by-step before answering. Previously, different AI providers (like Ollama, which lets you run AI locally) had their own weird overrides for this feature. Now, if you tell the AI to turn its reasoning off—or to use a specific amount—it will actually listen to you everywhere.
- Smarter error tracking: When the app crashes or messes up, it sends an automatic error report (called telemetry) to the developers to help them fix it. These reports now include the exact name of the AI model that was running at the time, making bugs much easier to track down.
Fixes
- Fixed an issue where asking the AI to turn off its "thinking" (reasoning) mode was being ignored by certain AI providers.
