This release is all about making the Cline coding assistant look better and work smarter. It mostly matters to developers who use Cline daily, because the new color-coded design makes it much easier to track what the AI is doing, while a few under-the-hood updates help the tool handle weaker AI models more gracefully.

What's new

• New color coding for modes: Cline has two main modes—Plan (figuring out what to do) and Act (actually doing the work). Plan mode is now amber and Act mode is blue. These colors show up everywhere: in menus, settings, and even in the AI's text responses, so you always know which mode you're in.
• Sleeker chat design: The box where you type your messages got a minimalist redesign. It dropped the old shaded background for clean lines and a bold prompt symbol, and your chat bubbles are slimmer.
• Smarter handling of unlisted AI limits: Some AI models in the system don't specify their "context window" (the amount of text they can remember at once). The app now automatically gives these models a generous 128,000-token limit so they still work perfectly.

Improvements

• Better default thinking level: When you choose how deeply the AI should "think" about a problem, the selector now defaults to "Medium" instead of being turned off, giving you better answers right from the start.
• Color matching: The greens used to show successful code changes and the colors used for code highlighting have been adjusted to match the app's new look perfectly.
• Polished status bar: The display at the bottom of the screen that shows your usage and model names (like ClinePass) has been cleaned up.

Fixes

• Fixed a bug with weaker AI models: Sometimes, less capable AI models send messy instructions when trying to read a file, splitting line numbers away from the file name. Instead of rejecting this broken input and failing, Cline now smartly pieces the information back together so the task can continue.
