This release is a big win for anyone who uses Claude to write longer projects, like reports or plans. Instead of jumping back and forth between your chat and a document to make changes, you can now fix things exactly where you see them. However, if you were using two specific creative AI models, you'll have to wait a bit for them to come back online.
What's new
- Edit drafts in place: When Claude writes a document (like a report or a plan) in your chat or in Claude Cowork, it opens right beside your conversation. If you want to change something, just highlight that part of the text, type what you want changed, and Claude will fix it right there. You don't have to switch apps or try to explain which paragraph you're talking about in the chat.
Fixes
- We temporarily suspended access to two specific AI models, Claude Fable 5 and Claude Mythos 5. They aren't working as intended right now, so we turned them off while we fix them. We plan to bring them back as soon as possible.
