This update is a quick housekeeping release that fixes a frustrating bug for developers who use Claude to run automated tasks in the background. If you've ever had Claude freeze up or ignore your commands while it was running background processes, this fix is for you.
Fixes
- Unblocked background commands: Previously, a safety rule was set up a bit too strictly. This "overly broad guard" accidentally blocked important interactive prompts—like the
/modelcommand (which lets you switch which AI model you are using) and other pop-up menus—whenever Claude was running automated tasks in the background (calledclaude agents). The strict rule has been rolled back, so you can now change your settings and interact with Claude without getting locked out.
