This update is all about saving you time and keeping your live projects running smoothly. It’s especially great if you use Bolt often and hate repeating the same instructions, or if you have published websites that don't get a ton of daily traffic but still need to stay online.
What's new
- Teach Bolt "Skills": Skills are custom rules you can write to tell Bolt how to handle specific tasks—like a checklist for launching an app or guidelines for how text should sound. Once you add a skill, Bolt automatically remembers and uses those rules whenever you type a prompt that matches. You can set these up for your whole workspace or just one project, and Bolt even has some pre-made skills for things like web design and SEO (making your site rank higher on search engines) that you can turn on with a click.
Improvements
- Published databases stay awake: Before, if you published a live website but it didn't get much traffic, Bolt would pause its database to save resources, which could mess up your site. Now, any project you've published to the real world will keep its database running. Only unpublished projects will have their databases paused if they sit untouched for six days or more.
