Base44 August 10, 2026 Changelog

This update is all about making app-building more flexible and secure. It gives you more freedom to experiment with designs and data without ruining your main project, while also giving workspace leaders better tools to manage security and team permissions.

What's new

• Apply design rules to imported apps: If you pulled an app into Base44 from a website or a design tool like Figma, you can now apply your workspace's "design system" (a set of rules for colors, fonts, and styles) to it. Instead of just painting over the old look, Base44 completely rebuilds the app's pages to match your style rules.
• Experiment with data in drafts: You can now add new "entities" and "fields" (which are basically new data categories and labels for your app) while working in a "branch"—a temporary draft version of your app. You can see how they look in a private preview, and your actual data stays shared with the main app. Best of all, your main app's data setup stays safe from accidental changes.
• Track personal security keys: For workspace admins, the security page now shows how many people are using personal "API keys" (secret passwords that let apps talk to each other) and how many times they've been used.
• Set publishing permissions by group: If you're on a Business plan or higher, you can now give publishing rights to an entire group of users at once, instead of having to update permissions one person at a time.

Improvements

• Better security controls for large teams: Admins on the Enterprise plan can now require that all apps and data in their workspace use shared "workspace service keys" and app-user logins. This blocks people from using their own personal API keys, making the whole workspace more secure.
