This update is all about making it safer to experiment with your apps and easier to publish them to the world. It matters most to app builders who want to try out new features without ruining their current work, and to teams using private company code or publishing to iPhones.

What's new

• Safe experimenting with "Branches": You can now create a "branch" of your app straight from the chat menu. A branch is basically a safe copy of your app where you can test new ideas. When you're happy with how the copy looks, you can merge those changes back into your main app.
• Automatic branch names: When you start a new branch, Base44 automatically gives it a short, three-word name based on your first message—even if you typed in a different language.
• Private design libraries: If your team uses a private, password-protected code library (an "npm registry") for your app's visual styles, you can now connect to it. You just provide the web link and a secret access password. Base44 checks the library, uses your password just once to get in, and never saves the password.
• New Wix billing plans: If you pay for Base44 through Wix, you can now buy the top-tier "Elite 10" and "Elite 11" plans, which used to only be available if you paid with Stripe.
• More school discounts: More university and school email addresses are now recognized, making it easier for students and teachers to get an academic discount.

Improvements

• Faster, parallel building: While you are using a branch, your main app and your branch can process updates at the same time. Up to five updates can run at once, and a menu shows you exactly which ones are still working.
• Smarter editing in branches: When you click on a visual element to edit it in a branch, your changes are automatically saved to that specific branch. (Note: if you are typing raw code directly into the code editor, those changes still go to the main app).

Fixes

• Apple review text for iPhones: Previously, when you built an iPhone app, the permission text (like "This app needs your camera to take photos") was only in your app's main language. Apple's automated review system checks for this text, so missing languages could cause problems. Now, this text is automatically included in all 25 supported languages.
