Base44 August 3, 2026 Changelog

This update is all about making your workflow smoother, especially if you're working on a bigger app or managing a team. It gives you more options for bringing in outside designs, helps team members see who they are working with, and makes billing and payment setups much less frustrating.

What's new

• Import designs from code packages: If you use a paid Builder plan or higher, you can now create a design system (a saved set of colors, fonts, and styles) from an npm package. An npm package is just a bundle of shared code that developers use. Instead of only pulling design styles from a Figma file or a website link, you can now paste a package name or link, and Base44 will automatically build your app's style guide from it.
• View workspace groups: On Business plans or higher, people who edit your app now get a "read-only" Groups tab. This means they can look at the list of user groups and see who is in them, but they can't change anything. People who only have "viewer" permissions will still see this tab grayed out and disabled.
• Resume Stripe setup: Stripe is a tool apps use to process credit cards. Sometimes, connecting a Stripe account gets stuck halfway through. Now, Base44 will tell you exactly what information Stripe is still waiting for and gives you a button to jump right back in and finish the job.

Improvements

• Earlier payment warnings: If your workspace has an overdue bill, your home dashboard will warn you immediately. Before, this warning would only pop up after you completely ran out of your prepaid app credits. Now you get a heads-up before things totally stop working.
