Base44's August 2026 update is mostly about working smarter: your AI assistant remembers you better, admins can manage security and people more easily, and Plan mode (the tool that helps you sketch out an app idea) asks fewer questions while producing more relevant designs. This matters most if you use Base44 to build apps, especially in a company setting.
What's new
- Smarter Superagent memory: Your Superagent (Base44's AI assistant) now keeps track of important facts and preferences on its own, instead of just saving random notes. Each conversation remembers your goal, progress, decisions, blockers, and next steps.
- Memory log: You can browse daily summaries and past conversations anytime.
- Memory controls: You can add, edit, or delete what the Superagent remembers, and choose whether it's shared across conversations.
- Security Center: For Enterprise admins and owners, there's a new dashboard that shows security risks across every app in your workspace at once, instead of checking apps one by one.
- Groups for roles: Enterprise workspaces can now assign a role to a group instead of each person individually. Everyone in the group gets that role automatically.
- Custom groups: You can create and manage groups directly in Base44, no SSO (single sign-on) required.
- Identity provider groups: You can sync groups from Okta, Entra, or Google through SCIM (a standard way to sync user info). They stay managed in your directory and are read-only in Base44.
Improvements
- Plan mode designs: The design directions Plan mode generates are now built from your own prompt and answers, at higher resolution, instead of using generic sample renders. You can respond, regenerate, or start building while they're still rendering.
- Fewer, sharper questions: Plan mode now asks one or two compact cards of up to three questions each, based on what your brief actually left out, instead of five or more single-question rounds. A detailed brief can skip straight to the plan.
