This update is all about making remote development faster and easier. If you are a developer working with an AI agent in an "orb" (a secure, cloud-based workspace), you used to have to jump through hoops to see the changes the AI made. Now, you can instantly view and test those updates in your web browser without dealing with slow previews or complicated network setups.

What's new

• Portals: These are live web windows that let you see and interact with anything the AI agent is building for you in the cloud. You just ask Amp to "show me in a portal," and it opens up.
• Team collaboration: You can make your workspace "multiplayer" on the web. This means your teammates can jump in, see the live app, leave comments, and even make changes together in real-time.
• Ad-hoc web apps: You can ask the AI to quickly build a custom web app just to help you debug or understand a system, and view it instantly through a portal.

Improvements

• Automatic app setup: When you ask to see your app, Amp automatically creates or updates a configuration file (.amp/services.yaml) to get it running. It also tweaks your app's settings to respect the correct web addresses and ports, saving you from doing it manually.
• Faster future loads: Amp saves the setup changes it made to your app. The next time you run it, the app starts up much faster.
• Portal syncing: Portals are tied to your cloud workspace. They automatically go to sleep when your workspace does and wake back up when you return.
