Amp Changelog — June 16, 2026 Update, Simplified

TLDR

You can now review code changes directly inside Amp, whether you're on a computer or your phone.
A new, smarter system highlights exactly what changed, so you don't have to struggle to spot tiny edits in a massive block of code.
You can interact with the code right from your screen, telling the app exactly what you want to fix or save.
This update is all about helping you understand code that was written by AI agents (automated programs that write code for you). Instead of just blindly trusting what the AI spits out, you can now easily review its work, make sure it’s high quality, and tweak it directly in the app.

In-App Code Reviews: You can now view a "diff" (a side-by-side comparison showing what was added or removed) right inside Amp. As long as your project is running, you can scroll through the changes, ask for fixes on specific parts, and "stage" changes (which means selecting the specific edits you want to save).
Browser Shortcut: If you usually type commands into a terminal to control the app, you can now press Ctrl-O to instantly pop open that same code comparison in your web browser.

Smarter Code Comparisons: Figuring out exactly what an AI changed used to be a headache. The app now uses a smarter system that detects copied-and-pasted blocks of code. This means it cuts through the clutter and clearly highlights the actual edits, making it way easier on your brain when you're checking a ton of AI-generated code.

No breaking changes in this release.
