This update is all about making it easier to run multiple AI helpers—called "agents"—at the same time. It matters to anyone who uses Amp for big, long-term projects and is tired of juggling a bunch of different windows to keep track of what their AI is doing.
What's new
- A unified sidebar: You now have a new menu on the side of your screen that shows all your active AI threads in one place. You can use it on the desktop web app, your phone's browser, or right inside your computer's terminal (just press
Ctrl+\). - "Agents, Everywhere" experience: You can now watch and control everything your AI agents are doing from wherever you're working, so you don't have to switch between different tabs to see their progress.
Improvements
- Less babysitting required: Last month, the Amp team rebuilt the app's core foundation. Now, your AI agents can work on long, complicated tasks for a lot longer without needing you to step in and fix things.
- Better team view: The list of threads shared with your team got a redesign. It’s now located in the "Activity" section, making it easier to find what your team is working on.
